Introduction:
As an artist at an early age, I’ve always loved creating things a little out of the ordinary. Drawing
was always my favorite thing to do. As I grew-up and began to explore the world of computers, I
witnessed people creating works of art into their CPU boxes. Computer modding here I come, I was drawn
into this new hobby instantly. I knew that with all my knowledge in the sheet metal fabrication trade
(3-1/2 yrs.), airbrushing (10+ yrs.), and professional spray-painting (20+ yrs.), with this kinda
background I knew I could build something unique.

My brain suddenly went into over drive. I started seeing all kinds of visions of what I possibly could
do; at least a month of sketching ideas happened before actual building started. This case I knew would
be fully custom from the ground up. The frame is 1" by 1" aluminum angle; 1/8" thick welded, riveted
and painted bright red. The size of the frame is 10" wide by 18" deep and 22" high.

Okay let’s start building this weird idea of a case, first thing was to start with the top cap, also
known as the blowhole assembly. I submitted my idea to my good friend Slaughter; he operated the computerized
milling machine in the shop. I knew that trying to cut this design out with a jig-saw would prove to be
a pain in the (you-know-where). First I started with a ½ thick clear Plexiglas and had him cut out the
center for me, it had to be absolutely bang-on due to the next section fitting into it, and the whole
thing onto the case top. Once Slaughter did his part, I had to bend the ends to smoothly fit over the
frame.

The idea of this plastic insert is to give the frame some depth in this 3 dimensional illusion, allowing
this partial view of the frame while the remainder of the case will be covered.
