One of the most difficult problems for most case owners is that fact that many system configurations are a mixture of odds and ends in terms of component configuration. The Nikao Eclipse case includes three unique 5.25" drive bay plates which are specifically designed to stealth stock coloured components and not disturb the overall theme of the case. The outer edge of the front bezel is aligned with a plastic ridged trim, which makes the case look very futuristic and industrial.

Eclipse power and reset buttons

The 3.5" floppy drive bay is located behind the front bezel and also features a stealth function. A floppy drive is installed into the case chassis and the front bezel incorporates a slot opening to accommodate the insertion and removal of floppy discs. A well-positioned button aligns with the release button on the floppy drive for quick access. The power led on the floppy drive is also viewable from the front bezel thanks to a mini plastic diffuser. Two buttons exists for both the power and reset functions, which must be connected to the motherboard header pins prior to use.

The bottom portion of the Nikao Eclipse is similar to the bottom drive on the Noblesse Electric Blue Case I reviewed last month. The Eclipse case includes two front mounted USB ports and a bypass cable that must be wired to a motherboard. Users will be required to check their motherboard manual on the proper instruction for attaching this cable. I found sliding door that shields the USB ports a little flimsy when shifted in either the up or down position.
