The Dremel Flex Shaft Attachment provides added flexibility when using the Dremel MultiPro 395 tool. The attachment compensates for the weight and size of the tool itself and assists when detailed work must be completed. The Flex Shaft Attachment features a flexible 36" long shaft with an ergonomically designed narrow shape. Most modders will compare the Flex Shaft to holding a regular sized pen or pencil. Small gripping indents on the tool simplify the process of keeping it stationary when positioned in your hand.

The rear portion of the Flex Shaft Attachment comes with an adapter that fits in the 1/8" keyless chuck of the rotary tool. A larger nut screws on the attachment screw of the rotary tool. Consumers should note that the Flex Shaft Attachment comes with its own driver cap which must be used in place of the standard collet nut. To attach the Flex Shaft to the MultiPro 395 is a straightforward process. The housing cap is first removed from the MultiPro 395. By pressing the shaft lock button, you unscrew the standard collet and collet nut and replace it with the Flex Shaft driver cap. Once the driver cap is secured, the collar of the Flex Shaft is attached to the front portion of the MultiPro 395.

Once secured, the MultiPro 395 can be safely hung from a wall while the Flex Shaft Attachment is used to work on your project. Dremel recommends that you do not operate the Flex Shaft with a sharp or multiple bend that exceeds a 5" radius.
