Introduction:
Unfortunately, most of us do not have the funds and resources to run our computer systems in a
state-of-the-art clean room where dust is measured in millions of particles per cubic inch and
temperatures are maintained within fractions of a degree. For the layman, combating heat comes in the
form of a DC rotary fan. Fans on our CPUs, fans on our video cards, fans on our RAM - you get the point.
Thankfully, the industry has provided us with the tools we need to keep our cases cool while not
sounding like a wind tunnel. But let’s face it; a case covered in black plastic fans isn’t going to win
any beauty contests. Cooler Master has provided a wealth of cooling products that both perform and
please the eye. Their latest offering in hard drive cooling is the CoolDrive 3 and we’ll give it the
full run down in the MTB Labs.
Specifications:
The Cooler Master CoolDrive 3 provides both cooling and sound dampening to IDE or SCSI hard drives. The
product sports a removable alloy front panel with mounted LEDs and an easy to clean fan filter. Here are

The Cooler Master CoolDrive 3 Hard Drive Cooler ships in a standard retail box. The product is shown off
in its best light, with both ultra-bright LEDs in full view. The Cooler Master logo occupies one of the
top corners, with the product logo on the opposite side. The rear of the package has a complete list of
features and the CoolerMaster URL.

The product is tightly packed in its box and is protected by a single re-sealable clear plastic bag.
Included in the box is the cooler itself, a drive mounting plate, mounting screws and a multi-language
installation guide.
