MODTHEBOX would like to thank Elaine from GMC Corporation
for sending the Trinity X-21 Mid-Tower Case for review.
Introduction:
As part of the North American and Canadian market, most consumers have a wide variety of options available
in terms of selecting a standard computer case. There has been a significant influence from overseas
manufacturers such as Cooler Master and Lian Li who have developed a solid fan base and good reputations
for producing some outstanding case products. While a majority of the market leaders are based out of
Taiwan, there are a select few who are slowly establishing their presence from local areas such as
China, Japan and Korea. The GMC Corporation based out of Seoul, Korea is a distributor of computer
peripherals and a manufacturer of case chassis, specializing in products of reliable quality and high
performance. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the GMC Trinity X-21 Mid-Tower Case, a product
that provides all the essentials for a good stock computer case.
Specifications:
The Trinity X-21 Mid-Tower Case is one of many consumer based full tower cases offered by the GMC
Corporation and comes complete with all the functionality found in more expensive models. The
specifications of the Trinity X-21 are simular to that of your classic mid-tower case and is offered
in a basic or gold configuration. The gold configuration is slightly more expensive and includes
add-on peripherals such as a HDD Selector, Sound Selector and Card Reader. Here are some of the case
specifications taken directly from the GMC Corporation website:

The Trinity X-21 Mid-Tower Case was shipped in a standard double-walled corrugated cardboard box with
the GMC Corporation logos printed on all sides. The packaging was very eye catching with a large
view of the front bezel and the label "X-21" across the front. Upon opening up the packaging, the case
is sealed with protective plastic and secured by two pieces of polystyrene which is located on the
left and right hand sides.

Out of the box, my first impressions on the Trinity X-21 Mid-Tower Case were very positive. The overall
design of the case is superb and accented with a curved front bezel that extends from the top portion
to the bottom. Down the middle of the front bezel is a mirrored front panel that adds a nice aesthetic
look to the case and provides function for the power and reset buttons. The Trinity X-21 Mid-Tower Case
measures 200mm (W) x 510mm (D) x 440mm (H) and is suitable for all standard ATX form factor motherboards.
One of the highlights of the initial packaging is the excellent kit for the accessories and mounting
screws. This is one area where the GMC Corporation excels and some rival manufacturers should take
note on how proper packaging should be done. The accessories package includes the following:
- Dual IDE cables
- PC Speaker
- Molex to floppy converter
- Zip Ties
- Anti-vibration pads
- Assortment of mixed mounting screws
- Sound Selector add-on board and cables
- ATX I/O shield
By default, the case does not ship with a PSU and consumers will have to purchase this option
seperately.
