The PCI based pass-through adapter is used to route the tubing as well as provide power and all the necessary connections for the EXOS to properly function. Two spring-based coils protrude from the rear of the PCI plate and are designed to flex and route the tubing from the rear of the EXOS to the inside of the case. The left portion of the PCI pass-through plate houses a power connection along with a small PCB. The PCB features connections for a temperature probe, 2 additional case fans, power to a 4-pin Molex and 2 connections for motherboard and case power headers.

The included 90 degree quick connect nozzles attach to the rear of the EXOS unit and route water from the inlets and outlets into the tubing. Attaching the nozzles is extremely straightforward and all that is required it to slip the valve bolt over the tubing, secure the tubing to the nozzle and tighten the valve bolts. One of the key features of the quick connect nozzles is the ability to hot swap and disconnect them with a full reservoir thanks to the self-closing chamber on the EXOS. This feature allows users to transport, upgrade or swap the EXOS amongst other similar setup machines.

Out of the box, my initial impressions of the EXOS were very positive. The EXOS External Water Cooling System measures 18.4cm x 9.5cm x 47cm and weighs in at 7.3 pounds. With the EXOS being an external solution, there has been a lot focused upon aesthetics and appearance. The all black construction paired acrylic front panel, clear reservoir window and accents from the chrome fan grills and handles allow for a very sharp and professional look. Unfortunately, the only available color at the time of this review is black. The EXOS is capable of functioning adequately up to 33 feet away from the computer and can handle a total of 6 Koolance based waterblocks. The EXOS houses all the internal water cooling components and is designed to sit on top or along side any computer you wish to incorporate. I was unable to retrieve any information in regards to the EXOS being capable to cool 2 computers simultaneously, such as 2 open-air test beds yet with some Y fittings, this may be a possibility to implement and test sometime in the near future.
