The highlight of the Danger Den Power Water Cooling Kit is the inclusion of the latest MAZE4 revision water block. The water block is comprised of two separate pieces; a laser cut Lucite top and copper bottom which are secured by six screws. Two chrome valves (inlet and outlet) exist on the top portion of the Lucite plate and are compatible with 1/2" ID tubing. The construction of the water block was completed using high precision CNC and laser production methods. The formations of the walls on the copper base enable the water block to efficiently distribute water above the core of the CPU and effectively cool at lower temperatures. A black O-Ring and silicone sealant has been added to provide a water tight seal. The base of the water block has been lapped with 600 grit sandpaper to guarantee a smooth but not reflective finish which is great for heat transfer. As an extra precaution, Danger Den has addressed concerns about the Lucite top by pressure testing each MAZE4 water block at 85psi prior to shipping.

Danger Den has provided a win-win situation for consumers by providing two different varieties of high performance pumps by reputable manufacturers Hydor and Eheim. Due to size constrictions, I opted to have the Hydor L30 Pump included in this review package. The Hydor L30 is centrifugal pump that measures approximately 114mm x 76mm x 89mm and can be configured to run either inline or submersible. To provide a size comparison of the Hydor L30, I placed the unit next to an Aqua Via 1300, which is another great compact pump. While the size of the Hydor L30 might fool some people, this pump is capable of pushing a maximum flow rate of 320GPH (1200 l/h) with a delivery head of 75" (135cm). The pump includes two 1/2" OD (13mm) barbed fittings on both the suction and pressure sides as well as a four plastic suction feet to keep the unit stationary.

The Danger Den MAZE4 Power Water Cooling Kit includes a low compact HWLabs Black Ice Pro Radiator. The radiator measures approximately 150.4mm x 128.6mm x 25mm and features a four pass copper core consisting of flat tubes for maximum heat conductivity. The Black Ice Pro Radiator incorporates a built-in metal shroud that has been drilled with four self tapping screws enabling the installation of a 120mm cooling fan. Towards the top of the unit are two pre-angled inlet and outlet barbed hose connectors capable of handling 1/2" ID tubing. Also included in the MAZE4 Power Water Cooling Kit is 7ft of Clearflex 60 tubing. Clearflex 60 is similar to the popular Tygon tubing and provides some great benefits in a water cooling setup such as long service life, resistance to aging and oxidizing as well as flexibility to slip over fittings which might have a tight bend radius.
