MODTHEBOX would like to thank Angel from Wayvet
for sending the CoolingKing Water Cooling Kit for review.
Introduction:
With the sudden boom of water cooling in the enthusiast ring and retail market, companies are striving
to make their names known and produce quality parts. In the past at MTB, we have featured a number of
water cooling products designed for several performance and market segments from manufactures such as
D-TEK, Danger Den, Innovatek, Koolance and Swiftech. Wayvet Inc, based out of Taiwan is mainly engaged
in the business of metal hardware and tooling for the electronic and computer industry. Wayvet has
recently moved into the performance water cooling market and have released the CoolingKing series of
components. Today in MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the Wayvet CoolingKing Water Cooling Kit.
Specifications:
The Wayvet CoolingKing Water Cooling Kit consists of several key components to bring a complete liquid
cooling solution to a standard or modified computer. Each item included in the package can be purchased

The Wayvet CoolingKing Water cooling Kit ships in a series of 3 boxes. The bulk of the items are neatly
packaged in a bright Wayvet retail box with Styrofoam insert and a CoolingKing branded Perspex top. The
pump ships in the default Eheim packaging. A plain white box with an information sheet houses the C120
Radiator which due to poor packaging and long travel distance from Taiwan, was subjected to some minor
damage to the shroud portion. As previously stated, the Wayvet CoolingKing Water Cooling Kit includes
all the necessary items for a successful installation. The contents of the boxes revealed the following
items:
- 1 x Instruction manual
- 1 x Cooling King Water Block
- 1 x Cooling King C120 Radiator
- 1 x Eheim 1048 AC Pump
- 1 x Arctic Silver Ceramique thermal compound
- 1 x EH48R Reservoir
- 1 x Coolant Bottle

The CoolingKing Water Block takes on a simple all black design and measures in at 78mm x 56mm x 87mm.
The water block is both AMD Socket 462 and Intel Socket 478 compliant by using the included Clamping
Master universal clipping mechanism. The bulk of the CoolingKing Water Block is constructed from copper
with the exception of the top, which is a plastic. One interesting feature that I noticed upon
inspection is that the barbs are a combination of metal and plastic. The barbs are both positioned at
the opposite far corners and are designed to work with the included 10mm ID tubing. The base of the
CoolingKing Water Block reveals that is has been machined polished to a smooth finish and produces
moderate reflections on the copper base.
