Moving towards the side of the CoolingKing Water Block reveals that a small seam of industrial strength silicone is used to bond the top plastic casing and the copper base together. My initial impressions of the overall safety and effectiveness of this seal were moderate to say the least. This will be covered later on in the review. The interior structure and water path of the Cooling King Water Block uses a series of pins with serrated edges to increase surface area and turbulence within the water block. A set of four larger serrated pins are located in the center between two walls and sit almost directly above the core of an AMD processor to aid in effective heat dispersal from the pin into the water. One feature absent on the CoolingKing Water Block is the implementation of an O-Ring which helps provide a more secure seal to the water chamber and prevents any possible leaks.

Reservoir responsibilities are covered in the form of the CoolingKing EH48R Reservoir. The EH48R Reservoir is constructed from Clear ABS and measures 73mm x 65mm x 87mm and is designed to attach to Eheim 1046/1048 pumps. A total of 150CC of water can be held inside the EH48R reservoir. A large opening at the top allows for easy system filling and comes complete with an O-Ring seal to prevent any leaks. The overall construction of the EH48R reservoir is rather simple but due to the thinness of ABS used, the unit is susceptible to accidental cracking and damage if not handled cautiously. A single hose barb resides at the top of the unit beside the filling area. The rear portion of the EH48R features a large hole which is where the Eheim 1048 pump attaches. This will be featured later on in the review.

Included with the CoolingKing Watercooling Kit is an Eheim 1048 AC pump. The Eheim 1048 AC pump ships with a blue water filter, instruction manual, 3/8" threaded barbs, a cap and additional threaded adapter. The Eheim name is a well-known one in the water cooling community for their reliable, low heat and noise quality pumps. The Eheim 1048 is a centrifugal AC powered pump that can be run inline or in a submersed configuration. An included relay of sorts would have been a welcome addition to this package and eliminate and possible accidents of power the system without pump.
