The Eheim 1048 pump draws a total of 10 Watts and is capable of pushing 158 Gallons Per Hour (GPH) with a head of 1.5 meters. While most users are equipping their systems with more powerful pumps capable of pushing 330GPH and above, the Eheim 1048 is the middle road and produces respectable rates in a compact size which makes it ideal for several different mounting scenarios. Both the inlets and outlets are equipped with threaded 3/8" barbs, which can be easily replaced to higher quality brass barbs to prevent any cracking.

The included CoolingKing C120 Radiator measures 130mm x 115mm x 195mm and weighs approximately 1675G which makes this unit extremely bulky and heavy in comparison to other offerings. Due to the size, consumers should measure carefully in order to ensure proper accommodation for this unit. A shiny steel with nickel plating shroud installed with a 120mm fan houses the bulk of the radiator. The top portion of the CoolingKing C120 Radiator facilitates the brass 1/2" OD barbs for attaching tubing. Unlike most designs, the copper inlet/outlet barbs sit atop the radiator and each divide into their own channels to reduce system resistance and maximize flow rates within the radiator. Each barb is professionally welded to the tubing and no leaking or poor joints were noted.

During the shipping process, the CoolingKing C120 Radiator suffered some minor damage to a few copper tubes and a single hose barb was slightly pushed downward into a tube. This prevented fully securing any tubing and was corrected using some pliers and moderate force to bend the barb upward. The steel with nickel plating shroud also suffered some moderate damage due to poor packaging. Removing the steel with nickel plating shroud reveals an all copper construction with a combination of interconnected copper tubing and a series of multiple fine fins. Aside from the shipping damage, the overall construction of the CoolingKing C120 Radiator is impressive and demonstrates that Wayvet has done their homework.
