Introduction:
LAN Party style events provide a unique opportunity for gaming enthusiasts to come together at one venue
and play the latest top of the line gaming programs. Most venues have included extra events such as
demonstrations, contests, lectures and product reviews. While the atmosphere is very competitive, one of
the difficult challenges for attending one of these events is figuring out how to transport computer
equipment from one location to another. Most consumers have come up with unique solutions ranging from
boxes, plastic bags and carrying carts. For those individuals looking for a unique transport carrying
system, CaseAce Products based in San Diego, California have been designing a series of popular Gear Grip
products specifically for the gaming community. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the CaseAce
Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness, a new transport system which simplifies the process of carrying LCD and
TFT monitors.
Specifications:
The Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness is one of three different sizes available at CaseAce Products website.
Consumers have the option of selecting Small, Medium or Large with sizes ranging from 11" to 20". There
are currently three different colour options available for each size which includes Navy, Black and Red.
Large size LCD and TFT monitor owners have an additional colour selection in Silver and Black. Here are

The Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness arrived in standard white cardboard packaging with no manufacturer’s
logos or specifications printed on the box. Inside the package was the Gear Grip LCD Shield
Harness sample and a large Gear Grip Pro Computer Harness surrounded in plastic protective bags. The
sample that was sent for review was the medium red version, which is suitable for LCD and TFT monitor
sizes ranging from 17" - 19". I will be demonstrating later in the review how the Gear Grip Pro Computer
Harness, LANBag and LCD Shield Harness all work together to form one transportable all-in-one solution.

The first thing that caught my attention on the Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness was the list of features
included with this product. In the past, CaseAce Products has designed monitoring carrying solutions for
standard CRT monitors and recently have starting offering an equal solution for consumers who own LCD and
TFT monitors.
The Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness offers triple layer support in order to guarantee maximum protection
during transport. CaseAce Products has added an energy absorbing foam laminate outer layer for blunt
impact protection. A new super stiff ABS Honeycomb Core has also been added to protect against sharp
impact with an additional inner foam layer for extra protection.
