The installation of the Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness is a straightforward process that can be completed
in less than 10 minutes. It is recommended to have both units on a flat desk or table surface to speed
up the installation. In this example, I will be using my main workstation monitor which is an Albatron
L17AT TFT-LCD. The Albatron L17AT TFT-LCD measures approximately 16.9" (W) x 16.6" (H) x 7.3" (D) and
fits under the specifications of the medium size Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness package. The first
step is to place the Soft Tricot lining portion of the product against the base of the LCD monitor
screen.

Once the Soft Tricot lining portion of the Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness is against the base of the monitor,
the next step is to measure and adjust the carabiner-style snap hooks to make sure you have a secure
fit around the base of the monitor. To simplify the process of bundling cabling, CaseAce has included
one large size padded pocket aligned with mesh material to hold accessories as well as a power adapter
for the monitor. There is also a small adjustable Velcro loop which CaseAce calls the "Cable Grip Cable
Manager" which allows the bundling of multiple cables.

The CaseAce Gear Grip Pro Computer Harness was one of the
very first products reviewed at MTB back in May 2002. The product is available in two different size
formats standard and large. The standard size fits cases up to 52" (132 cm) in circumference (desktop and
mid-tower), while the large size fits cases up to 70" (178 cm) in circumference (full tower). In
this example, I will be using a modified Chieftec Matrix Mid-Tower Case
to install the Gear Grip Pro Computer Harness. The installation process works exactly the same as the
Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness with the product wrapped around the base of the mid-tower case. To finalize
the installation all that is required is to adjust the carabiner-style snap hooks for a secure fit.
If you have purchased the CaseAce LANBag accessory,
you can also install this product onto the Gear Grip Pro Computer Harness. The LANBag is held in place
using a series of Velcro straps, which
allow the LANBag to snap into the Gear Grip Pro Computer Harness.

The last two remaining photographs demonstrate the completed installation of all the CaseAce Gear Grip
products. One of the unique aspects of the entire system is that the installation and integration of
each product is effortless. This system is now fully ready to be transported to any LAN party event.

Conclusion:
CaseAce Products continues its tradition of designing great products targeted specifically at the gaming
community. The complete Gear Grip product line is both stylish and provides some excellent features which most
gaming addicts will be sure to love. The LCD Shield Harness like the CRT Harness works on LCD and TFT
monitors ranging from 11 inches to 20 inches. One of the great benefits of the Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness
is the ability to use two great methods for transporting a LCD or TFT monitor using either the premium
soft grip handle or adjustable shoulder strap. Add in the carabiner-style snap hooks, stiff ABS Honeycomb
Core, Power Transformer Pouch and Cable Grip Cable Manager and you have a well rounded package. While,
the Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness is reasonably priced, the entire system might be a tad extensive for
a few individuals. You can easily justify the price of the entire system by realizing that these products
are an investment and come with a lifetime warranty. If you attend a few LAN style venues over the course
of the year, this system simplifies the process of moving your expensive equipment from one location to
another. Overall, I was very pleased with the CaseAce Gear Grip LCD Shield Harness and award a final
rating of 9 out of 10. If you have any
