MODTHEBOX would like to thank Helen from Yeong Yang Technology
for providing the YY-0221B Cube Server Case for review.
Introduction:
The key to any successful case modification project is the careful planning and selection process of an
ideal case enclosure which will accommodate your needs accordingly. Given the abundance of after market
additions and advanced cooling solutions that encompass the enthusiast’s way of computing, overall size
is one specification that ranks high on any list. The server market is one area that provides some of
the most advanced and well-constructed cases designed for mass storage and maximum performance in stock
format. Due to the often high associated price tags, many server based cases are often un-available to
the average consumer market. Yeong Yang Technology, also very well known for their Cube style cases,
was founded in 1978 and has been manufacturing and distributing PC and Server chassis since 1990. Today
in MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the Yeong Yang YY-0221B Cube Server Case; a unique chassis design
geared for maximum storage and performance.
Specifications:
The Yeong Yang YY-0221B Cube Server Case is one of the two available models from the Pedestal Sever

Out of the box, my initial impressions of the Yeong Yang YY-0221B Cube Server Case were very positive.
The exterior has been painted in jet black and takes on a very minimal design. The YY-0221B is constructed
from 1.2mm Kobe Steel and measures approximately 13.4" (W) x 17.3" (D) x 13.4" (H) with a weight of 13.4KG
without a power supply. The front bezel is made from recyclable flame retardant plastic parts and
features a lockable swing out door. Both ATX and Full ATX form factor motherboards are supported. The
overall construction of the YY-0221B is top grade and provides a solid base for many great case
modification projects.
