The top left portion of the front bezel features a series of 6 LED indicators for Power, Fan Fail and an additional 4 for independent hard disk access. In order to use this feature, users must have a compliant motherboard or RAID array. As a security precaution, the YY-0221B incorporates a locking mechanism for the front door to easily prevent access to any devices which may reside in the 5.25" bays. This is an expected feature amongst server grade cases although easily contradicted, as I will point out late in this review. A single set of keys are included with the YY-0221B.

Opening the YY-0221B’s door reveals how the front area has been divided into two sections. The bulk of the front bezel has been dedicated to both 5.25" and 3.5" drive bays for maximum storage. The left portion does not feature a door and facilitates the motherboard chamber. The YY-0221B has a total of six external 5.25" bays that can be used for hardware such as optical drives, RAID arrays and removable hard drive racks. Each drive bay has multiple holes drilled out to promote greater airflow into the case.

A total of two directly accessible 3.5" drive bays are located at the top portion of the YY-0221B, which can be used for devices such as floppy and ZIP drives. A clearly labeled oversized power switch is located to the left of the 3.5" drive bays along with a smaller reset switch.
