As part of the accessories package, the Samsung SyncMaster 211MP TFT-LCD Monitor includes a large 120 watt adapter and power cable which attaches directly to the back of the unit. There are two slender and long 5 watt speakers that can attach directly to the base monitor or be placed into individual speaker stands. The speakers produce 90 decibels and have a frequency response of 150 Hz - 20 kHz.

To simplify mounting the speakers onto the base of the monitor or speaker stands, Samsung has included an Allen key with four hex screws and four double sided screws. The four hex screws are used for attaching the speakers to the included stands. The four double sided screws which are magnetized attach the speakers to either side of the monitor.

Out of the box, the Samsung SyncMaster 211MP TFT-LCD monitor looks very impressive and aesthetically pleasing. The entire LCD is silver based with the exception of black highlights on the rear and base of the unit. Samsung Canada is marketing this particular unit as part of their high-end range line of consumer TFT-LCD monitors which also offer HDTV compatibility. The SyncMaster 211MP measures an astounding 22.4 (W) x 18.7 (H) x 8.4 (D) inches making it the largest LCD-TFT monitor that MTB Labs has had in for testing. The 211MP has a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 and a total viewable image size of 21 inches with a pixel pitch of 0.27mm. One of the highlights for this particular package is that fact that the contrast ratio for this unit is an impressive 500:1 while maintaining a standard refresh rate of 25ms. Consumers will be pleased to know that the Samsung SyncMaster 211MP also offers ergonomic functions such as tilt positioning which allows you to adjust the screen area 15 degrees in the forward or back position.
