MODTHEBOX would like to thank Cyrus from Zalman Tech
for sending the Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu HSF Cooler for review.
Introduction:
Heatsink design has standardized over the last several years catering to alternative platforms for both
AMD and Intel. With the current migration of 32-bit to 64-bit architecture, there are several manufacturers
currently in the process of re-designing their existing product lines to meet new consumer demand. Zalman
has been well known for their patented CNPS (Computer Noise Prevention System) and in the past has developed
a series of silent computing and performance based products utilizing the famous flower heatsink design.
The company has recently shifted focus to cater to the future of 64-bit computing by creating a series
of universal heatsink designs. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the Ultra Quiet CNPS7000A-Cu
HSF Cooler from Zalman, a universal product which utilizes an all copper flower design with a copper
core.
Specifications:
The CNPS7000A-Cu is an all copper CPU cooler with a copper core designed for AMD Socket 462, Intel Socket
478 and the new AMD64 Socket 754. The CNPS7000A-Cu offers good overall performance in near silence using
a slightly unorthodox design. Here are some specifications taken directly from Zalman’s website:
