MODTHEBOX would like to thank Cyrus from Zalman Tech
for sending the Zalman ZM-RS6F Theatre 6 Headphones for review.
Introduction:
The Dolby Digital standard has been available since 1992 and was originally developed as a format for 35mm
theatrical film prints to carry multi-channel digital audio along with analog optical soundtracks. Dolby
Digital is the current standard when it comes to high-end stereo components and provides the ability for
any audiophile or movie buff to replicate the experience and environment of the big screen inside the home.
Part of the success of Dolby Digital is that it’s the perfect format where high quality audio is required
but at the same time is conservative in terms of bandwidth and storage requirements. Zalman has been well
known for their patented CNPS (Computer Noise Prevention System) and in the past has developed a series of
silent computing and performance based products utilizing the famous flower heatsink design. The company
has recently shifted focus to cater to the popular gaming market with the release of 5.1 compatible headphones.
Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the Zalman ZM-RS6F Theatre 6 Headphones, a universal product which
replicates the sound quality of a multi-channel speaker system environment.
Specifications:
The ZM-RS6F Theatre 6 Headphones are designed replicate the sound quality of real surround as if it is
being reproduced from a complete multi-channel speaker system. The ZM-RS6F Theatre 6 is self-contained
and comes complete with everything required for a simple installation. Here are some specifications
