Introduction:
The popularity of LCD-TFT based monitors has been fueled by the wide selection and price reductions
offered by a variety of manufacturers. In the past, where a CRT monitor would be a standard component
of a complete computer system, consumers now have the option of selecting from analog and digital
LCD-TFT alternatives. Samsung Canada has been at the forefront of the digital convergence revolution
offering a wide selection of LCD-TFT monitors marketed under the popular SyncMaster series. The company
has been busy expanding their product line with a series of new models to cater to small business, office,
and computer users. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the new SyncMaster 192T LCD Monitor,
a high-end LCD solution that offers sleek looks and an abundance of features.
Specifications:
The 192T TFT-LCD Monitor is one of many available LCD based monitors available from Samsung Canada. This
product is part of the popular SyncMaster series and being marketed as a high-end solution for

The Samsung SyncMaster 192T TFT-LCD Monitor ships in a double wall cardboard box with a plastic carry-on
handle positioned on the top. A product shot is showcased on the top and side panels, along with a
complete list of specifications and features. Inside the package the SyncMaster 192T was packed
between two formed pieces of polystyrene and enclosed in a sealed protective plastic bag.

The SyncMaster 192T TFT-LCD Monitor also includes a smaller plastic bag which contains an assortment
of items. The included CD contains the TFT-LCD monitor user guide, installation drivers and a software
application called Natural Colour. The Natural Colour application software allows you to manual
adjust display optimization, colour adjustment and colour preference settings all from your
desktop. An eight page user guide covers the driver installation for different O/S platforms
ranging from all flavours of Windows to Linux. A secondary manual covers the hardware installation and
recommended safety procedures.

The Samsung SyncMaster 192T TFT-LCD Monitor is bundled two sets of cables which include a standard 15-pin D-sub
VGA cable and a DVI cable. Both cables extend at least 3 to 4 feet and provide ample room to connect
one end of the cable to your video card and the opposite end to the base of the LCD-TFT. As an alternative,
consumers interested in wall mounting this unit will be happy to know that Samsung has included a VESA mounting
bracket along with an assortment of mounting screws.
