The ATX I/O plate will accommodate most motherboards with the exception of the higher end legacy free offerings.
A single 80mm stamped exhaust is located directly in the center which cancels out any hopes of implementing a
second exhaust in the same location. Removing the stamped pattern will enhance airflow throughout. Two small
holes located directly below the exhaust are used to route the cabling from the front firewire ports. This
design eliminates the need to route interior cables through an empty PCI slot and back to the I/O area. The
Kingwin KT424-BK Aluminum Case has a total of 7 PCI expansion slots which are secured via thumbscrews to further
promote tool-less design.

One of the key features of the Kingwin KT424-BK is the inclusion of a removable motherboard tray. A set of four
thumbscrews secures the tray to the chassis and allow for a quick removal process. Once un-tightened, simply
disconnect any cables to the motherboard such as IDE and ATX power supply, and slide out the tray. Removable
motherboard trays are an excellent feature as they allow for easy upgrades, maintenance and simply the
installation process for both the novice and veteran system builders. The tray itself is constructed from
aluminum. I did note some minor structural weakness of the chassis and motherboard tray.

The interior of the Kingwin KT424-BK is entirely aluminum and neatly laid out, aside from the motherboard tray,
there are no other removable cages. Overall, the interior is rather spacious to accommodate most system
configurations comfortably. Almost all edges have been folded over to prevent any cuts and scrapes when working.
Supported motherboard form factors include baby, micro and ATX. A 3-pin 80mm exhaust fan with grill comes pre-mounted
at the rear. Unfortunately, the Kingwin KT424-BK only comes equipped with a single fan exhaust design.
