MODTHEBOX would like to thank Mary from Ximeta Inc
for sending the Ximeta NetDisk 80GB External Drive for review.
Introduction:
Portable and external storage solutions provide a unique challenge for administrators looking to expand
the storage capacity of their internal networks. There are a wide variety of available solutions which
are designed specifically to be universally adapted into an existing network configuration. While high-end
and tier one storage solutions are usually associated with a high cost factor; Ximeta Inc based out of
Irvine, California has been developing a series of affordable storage devices designed specifically for the
consumer market. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the new Ximeta NetDisk 80GB External Drive;
a unique product which offers pre-configured storage capacity for universal platforms.
Specifications:

The NetDisk 80GB External Drive was shipped in a standard double-walled corrugated cardboard box with the
Ximeta logos printed on all sides. The packaging was very eye catching with a large view of the NetDisk
80GB External Storage Drive across the front. On the rear of the packaging was a summarized list of
product specifications as well as three references diagrams on how to connect the unit. Upon opening up
the packaging, the product is sealed with protective plastic and secured by two pieces of polystyrene
which is located on the left and right hand sides.
