MODTHEBOX would like to thank Grant from Kingwin
for sending the KF-201-DF Mobile Rack for review.
Introduction:
In today's competitive hardware market, sometimes having a good piece of hardware is not enough. Consumers are becoming more demanding of
the products they buy, and are looking for more bang for their buck. As such, the stores are crammed with products with all kinds of
additional bells and whistles. Successful products have additional features which enhance the overall design and function of the product,
and make the end user wonder how they ever lived without the extras they have now come to know and love. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be
reviewing the Kingwin KF-201 Mobile Rack, new type of advanced IDE HD Rack which offers cooling options and advanced monitoring features.
Specifications:
The Kingwin KF-201 Mobile rack is a mobile rack which incorporates an LCD panel capable of providing pertinent information about the

The rack was shipped in a standard sized corrugated cardboard box, and the rack was enclosed in bubble wrap. I was very excited to realize
that this is obviously a brand new product for Kingwin, and they shipped this unit out for review without even having the packaging and
marketing material ready for it. At the time of this article's writing, Kingwin had only just produced some preliminary information on their
web page, and there was only one other review out on the web.

My initial impression of this rack was very positive. It has a slick design with a contoured front handle which really makes it stand out
from the standard looking racks out there. Of course, the LCD and its three control push buttons immediately grab the eye. The LCD is
protected by a removable piece of soft plastic to protect it from scratches. A silver lever with a finger grip allows the handle to extend
out to extract the rack. The chassis is completely aluminum, designed as such to keep drive temperatures in check. The rack ships with an
instruction pamphlet, two keys for the lock, and mounting screws to secure the mounting bay to the PC case and the hard drive to the rack.
