Flipping open the front lever reveals the key lock mechanism, which secures the rack to the mounting bay. The key lock has three settings,
UNLOCKED OFF, LOCKED OFF AND LOCKED ON. Retracting the handle shows the key lock and a front panel grill, which allows cool air to be drawn
into the chassis. A nice feature about this setup is that it is physically impossible to close the handle properly without locking the unit,
eliminating the possibility of powering on the system without having the drive properly secured. The silver lever hiding the key lock also
adds to the overall aesthetics of the front panel.

Once the drive is free, a spring loaded shutter on the mounting bay closes, ensuring your case airflow is not hampered by what would be a
gapping hole in your external 5 ¼" bay. The rear portion of the rack has a large tunnel which allows air to be drawn through the enclosed
space to a 40mm exhaust fan mounted on the back of the mounting bay.

Opening the rack to install the hard drive requires a simple push of a button on the top of the front panel to allow the aluminum faceplate
to slide off the unit. Once opened, the LCD's PCB is revealed, including wiring for power, fan monitoring and temperature monitoring.
The cables are neatly tucked away behind the side of the chassis, and the plastic lip of the front bezel keeps the wires protected from
getting stripped by pushing the hard drive down in place.
