MODTHEBOX would like to thank Ed from CasEdge
for providing the Diabolic Minotaur Mid-Tower Gaming Case for review.
Introduction:
The popularity of case modification has created a brand new viable market for case manufacturers.
For consumers who lack the patience and skill, there is an alternative solution offered in pre-modified
case products. Just about every major case manufacturer currently offers their products in two standard
formats, modified and un-modified. Modified cases often include additional features which enhance both
the aesthetic appeal and functionality of a product. While some manufacturers fall into the trap of
offering features that are duplicated worldwide, CasEdge has taken an alternative approach by releasing
a series of stylish mid-tower cases marketed under the Diabolic Minotaur brand name. CasEdge Inc is a
division of the Foxconn/Hon Hai Group which offers housing solutions for PCs, integrated barebone systems,
and white box to distributors, system integrators, VARS and house-brand PC manufacturers in the Northern
American and Worldwide markets. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the new pre-modified Diabolic
Minotaur Mid-Tower Gaming Case.
Specifications:
The Diabolic Minotaur Mid-Tower Gaming Case is one of many consumer based cases offered by CasEdge and
comes complete with all the functionality found in more expensive models. The specifications of the
Diabolic Minotaur are simular to that of your classic mid-tower case and is generally suited for
consumers looking for an all-in-one pre-modified solution. Here are some of the case specifications
taken directly from the CasEdge website.

The Diabolic Minotaur Mid-Tower Gaming Case was shipped in a colourful standard double-walled corrugated
box with the case manufacturer's logos and images printed on all sides. The packaging inside the box was
excellent with the case sealed in protected plastic with two pieces of polystyrene located on the left
and right hand sides. Packaged in the case is a 12" Cold Cathode Tube, power cord, mounting screws as
well as an instruction guide which includes a summarized feature list, case specifications and referemce

Out of the box, my first impressions of the Diabolic Minotaur Mid-Tower Gaming Case were mixed. After
viewing some initial pictures of the case, I was expecting to see another re-hashed mid-tower case
with a window installed on the side panel. It was refreshing to see CasEdge move towards a very
unique and distinguishable case design. One aspect of the design to note is that you will either immediately
love or hate the look of this case. The Diabolic Minotaur Mid-Tower Gaming Case measures approximately
482.6mm (D) x 457.2mm (W) x 431.8mm (H) and supports all mATX and ATX motherboards. The entire exterior
has been painted jet black with red and silver highlights noted on the front bezel. The front bezel has
a futuristic type look that is replicated from the top portion of the bezel to the bottom. CasEdge offers
this particular case in seven different coloured front bezels which include Electric Yellow, Venom Green,
Storm Blue, Blood Red, and Arcane Purple. By default the Diabolic Minotaur does include a 400w PSU which
should be suitable for most consumers needs.
