MODTHEBOX would like to thank Wesley & Jeffrey from Nikao/Tradex Information Technology Incorporation for sending the Nikao F-2 Mid-Tower for review.

Nikao

Introduction:

Finding a computer chassis that is both reasonably priced and attractive can be challenging. Consumers have to often balance between function, case design and price in order to find a case that will fit their personal needs. We have seen a wide range of budget cases here at MTB, each offering something different as far as design options and features. Our friends at Tradex Information Technology Incorporation have added few new cases to their ever-expanding product line. The unit that we have in house for this particular review should appeal more those individuals looking for a pre-modified solution. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the Nikao F-2, a mid-tower case that features twin bubble lamps and a pre-modified side panel window.

Specifications:

The Nikao F-2 is a budget mid-tower case constructed from steel and includes two stealth bay covers. One for 1.44MB Floppy drive and the second for a CD-ROM drive. The front cover has a mirror finish dark-gray front panel with a pull-down USB ports. Here are some features and specifications taken directly from the Tradex website:

The Nikao F-2 Mid-Tower Case was shipped in a standard corrugated box with a red circular label printed on the side. The F-2 Mid-Tower is packaged with two pieces of polystyrene one on the top and bottom of the case respectively. A thin plastic sheet that surrounds it also protects the mirror finish of the case.

After taking the Nikao F-2 out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised by the jet-black finish of the panel that was shined to a mirror finish. My eye was drawn to the dark-gray and black front panel featuring stealth floppy and CD-ROM bay cover. The dual bubble lights were also a great add-on and suited the overall theme of the case.
