The YY-W201 includes a swing out front panel door which is a nice feature for those individuals who don't want to stealth or paint stock beige coloured drives. Once the door has been opened, consumers will be pleased at the amount of expansion room available in this case. The center portion of the case includes a front port extension module that includes four USB ports and two audio ports.

The case has two different scalable configuration options which Yeong Yang classifies as Type A and Type B. In a Type A configuration there are a total of 8 x 5.25" external drive bays, with 3 located on the top and 5 positioned on the bottom. In a Type B configuration there are a total of 10 x 5.25" external drive bays, with 3 located on the top, 2 located at the bottom and an easy swap fan to HDD cage module which adds an additional five drive bays. For those consumers who insist on using legacy floppy drives, Yeong Yang has also included a 5.25" to 3.5" drive conversion bracket which is located at the top of the drive cage.

To keep the Yeong Yang YY-W201 Pedestal Server Chassis case stationary, included with the package is a set of add-on plastic chassis feet. The feet are different from the usual swing out feet found on most server cases and provide extra stability when the case is positioned vertically. The feet clip to the bottom portion of the case through a series of pre-punched mounting holes and are secured using a single 8-32 screw.
