The Z-Alien PC Gaming Server includes one removable hard drive cage. To remove this feature, simply undo the thumbscrew at the bottom, push down on the retaining clip and pull it out. Behind the drive cage are two crystal clear 80mm front and side fans, which will easily cool any hard drives through the perforations in the cage. The front fan can easily be removed and replaced with a 120mm fan should more cooling be required. I did not during my evaluation that connecting the fans and hiding the cabling will be a chore due the very short cable length.

The Z-Alien PC Gaming Server includes fan filter mounts with both crystal clear 80mm fans. The front panel exhausts through the "mouth" of the alien face, while the side panel exhaust is an angular perforation design. Removing either the front bezel or side panel and allows you to pull out the filters for easy maintenance.

Mounted to the bottom of the case is an opal colored box. By removing the top cover reveals the mounting brackets for both the 3.5" and 5.25" drives. The hard drive mounts are a simple click in type requiring no screws to be secured; the 5.25" external drives require a little more effort. The bracket has two hooks on the bottom that match up with bottom screw mounts on the drive. After lining them up, you simply push forward and the second set of pins will fit into the side screw mounts and thus secure the mounting rail. One issue computer enthusiasts will run into is that the removable hard drive bay sits too close to the edge of the case. Installing a SATA drive makes it impossible to close the side panel while standard ATA drives work fine.
