MODTHEBOX would like to thank Eric from Raidtronics
for providing the RaidMax Cobra Series Mid-Tower Gaming Case for review.
Introduction:
The popularity of case modification has moved mainstream forcing many manufacturers to adapt their
product lines to meet the growing needs to budget conscience consumer. While a few manufacturers
have developed their product lines for a wider audience, there has been a large effort to target
those in the gaming and LAN community. The gaming and LAN community consists of group of individuals
who are known to spend large amounts of money on high-end computer components and gaming rigs.
Raidtronics released its first entry into the gaming market with the Scorpio 668 and 868 Mid-Tower
and Full-Tower cases marketed under its Extreme PC Gaming product line. The company has re-focused
its efforts with their latest creation dubbed the Cobra. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be taking a
look at the latest product offering from Raidtronics, the Cobra Series Mid-Tower Gaming Case

The Cobra Series Mid-Tower Gaming Case was shipped in a standard black double-walled corrugated box with the
case manufacturer's logos and images printed on all sides. The packaging inside the box was good with
the case sealed in protected plastic with two pieces of polystyrene located on the left and right hand

Out of the box, my first impressions of the Cobra Series Mid-Tower Gaming Case were positive. The
case can be classified as a revision of the original Scorpio 868 with changes noted in the chassis
and front bezel design. The Cobra Series Mid-Tower Gaming Case measures approximately 200mm (W) x
450mm (D) x 430mm (H) and supports all full ATX motherboard formats. The entire exterior has been
painted jet black with an impressive reflective car show finish. RaidMax has combined two different
colour combinations (black and yellow) which compliment the overall theme of the case. The front bezel
has a futuristic type look that is replicated from the top portion of the bezel to the bottom. The
composition of the Cobra Series is made up of a light weight Steel chassis combined with plastic parts.
The Cobra Series Mid-Tower Gaming Case does not include a power supply, but consumers can order a 420w
PSU add-on which will drive the retail price up $20.
