MODTHEBOX would like to thank Morten from Asetek for sending the KT03A-L30/115V WaterChill CPU Cooling Kit for review.

Asetek

Introduction:

The transition from an air cooling environment to that of a liquid cooled one is increasingly moving into a number of enthusiast’s high performance machines. The clear benefit of a water cooled solution is the ability to decrease the noise levels while also providing the option increasing performance of your hardware well beyond average clock speeds. As the latest processor architecture scales, so does the cooling required in order to maintain optimal operational levels and temperatures. The water cooling market isn’t as quick to adapt compared to the air cooling counterparts yet yields significant benefits upon new product releases. Asetek, based out of Denmark, is renowned for their phase change Vapochill systems and have since revised their WaterChill line up to adapt a newly designed water block to reflect the current trend in water block design. Today in MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the new Asetek KT03A-L30/115V WaterChill CPU Cooling kit.

Specifications:

The Asetek KT03A-L30/115V WaterChill CPU Cooling Kit is based upon the newly released Antarctica water block. The kit is designed to cool a variety of CPUs based upon Intel P4 S478, AMD Socket A, and AMD S754/S940 platforms. All the necessary items are needed for installation with some mild assembly required. Several alternate kits are offered on the Asetek website which includes additional blocks for GPU and Chipset cooling configurations. Here are some specifications taken directly from the Asetek website:

The included owner’s manual is 48 pages in length and covers topics such as installation procedures, warranty information, and technical specifications. I found the overall documentation provided to be concise and easy to read during my evaluation. Ten feet of soft Polyether 10mm O.D tubing is provided with the KT03A-L30 WaterChill CPU Cooling Kit. The flexible design of the Polyether tubing lends itself to tight bends without kinking and is resistant to aging and Hydrolysis.
