MODTHEBOX would like to thank Jerry from Thermaltake
for sending the Thermaltake VA1000RWA LANMOTO Aluminum Case for review.
Introduction:
Full Tower cases provide a unique advantage for consumers assembling their own dream machines
to handle day to day computing tasks. While full tower cases provide plenty of expansion room;
the weight of the components limits the ability to easily transport a system. To solve this
problem many manufacturers have introduced SFF and LAN style cases for those individuals looking
to balance functionality with transportability. Thermaltake, one of our longest running sponsors has
designed a new case with one thing in mind, LAN party goodness marketed under the name brand of
the LANMOTO. The LANMOTO is based on a light weight aluminum chassis design balanced with a
high-end paint job. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the new Thermaltake VA1000RWA
LANMOTO Aluminum Case.
Specifications:
The Thermaltake VA1000RWA LANMOTO Aluminum Case is an all-inclusive pre-modified solution which
includes an abundance of features equipped with an illuminated front bezel. Consumers have the
option of selecting from four different colour formats which include Black, Blue, Silver and
Red. Here are some of the specifications taken directly from the Thermaltake website:

Out of the box, my initial impressions of the Thermaltake VA1000RWA LANMOTO Aluminum Case were very
positive. I was struck with the paint job, which reminded me of the Candy Apple Red I have seen on a
few classic cars. The LANMOTO measures approximately 495mm (H) x 210mm (W) x 478mm (D) and weighs 5kg
(11 lbs) which is in keeping with other mid size aluminum cases currently on the market.

On the front door, painted in yellow to contrast against the red is the LANMOTO logo, which I find
similar to the badges on early to mid-sixties classic cars. On the lower half of the LANMOTO is the EL
feature, which flashes images of motorcycles randomly from bottom to top. On either side of the EL is a
series of ventilation slots that allows fresh air into the interior of the case.
