Out of the packaging the Arctic Fan Pro 2L has great aesthetic appeal and differs slightly from regular LED based fans currently on the market. The fan measures approximately 80mm x 80mm x 34.5mm and is rated for 12VDC at 0.14 Amps. Arctic Cooling is positioning this model as the quiet LED based alternative by incorporating a built-in switch with three selectable rotation speeds. At one end of the fan is the normal 3-pin Molex connector bundled with a white 3-position switch. The 3-position switch allows the rotational speeds to vary from 1500 RPM to 2500 RPM. Each rotational speed directly effects the amount of airflow the fan is capable of pushing. One of the unique aspects of this design is that rotational speed does not directly effect LED illumination. At the lowest speed of 1500 RPM, the fan manages to maintain the full illumination of the LEDs. The negative aspect of this design that consumers will need to open up their case every time they wish to change the fan speed setting

The Arctic Fan Pro TC is a standard ball bearing fan that comes bundled with a sleeved 3-pin Molex connector. The fan measures approximately 80mm x 80mm x 25mm and is rated for 12VDC at 0.14 Amps. The Artic Fan Pro TC follows the same principles as the Arctic Fan Pro 2L and designed for silent performance cooling. The TC designation stands for "Thermal Control" which means that the rotational speed of this fan is controlled by a thermal sensor. The thermal sensor will increase the speed of the fan as the temperature rises ranging from 1000 RPM to 2500 RPM. As the blades spin faster airflow increases from 12.2 CFM to 31.5 CFM and at the same time noise level is kept consistent at 10 to 23 dBA.

By removing the Artic Cooling sticker at the center of the fan provides a visual view of each design. The Arctic Fan Pro 2L has four high intensity LEDs position in the center as opposed to the base of the fan. The Artic Fan Pro TC has the thermal sensor soldered directly to the fan PCB located in the same area as the lead wires.
