In order to test out the Arctic Fan Pro 2L and Arctic Fan Pro TC, each unit was connected to Nexus NXP-205 Multi-Function Controller. The Nexus NXP-205 Multi-Function Controller 3.5" based device capable of handling fans to a maximum of 18 watts per channel. The fans were connected to the first two fan channels and the voltage was adjusted by turning the front knobs clockwise from left to right. The performance of the Arctic Fan Pro 2L was excellent and it is one of the brightest LED based Quad fans that I have had a chance to evaluate. The Arctic Pro TC is very silent during operation and adjusts automatically when a heat source is placed near the thermal probe.

The VGA Silencer Revision 3 is the latest VGA cooling solution developed by Arctic Cooling that is based on selectable cooling and noise level control. The product measures approximately 185mm x 84mm x 34 mm and weighs 278g. One of the highlights of the VGA Silencer Revision 3 is that is has been designed for most ATI Radeon Cards and features DHES (Direct Heat Exhaust System) Technology which carries warm air from the GPU and exhausts it directly out the rear of the card. The VGA Silencer Revision 3 includes an additional PCI bracket with a 2-position switch, which allows the fan rotational speed to be adjusted from 1200 RPM to 2400 RPM.

The VGA Silencer Revision 3 is comprised of two components that work collectively to cool a GPU. The entire unit is encased by a clear translucent plastic housing that surrounds an aluminum heatsink and cooling fan. The cooling fan resides towards the front of the unit and is positioned as an intake fan to draw cool air from the case interior and blow it over the high quality aluminum heatsink.
