Testing the NK204-V 20x4 Serial LCD with the current revision of LCDriver v1.2
proved to be somewhat sucessful in terms of initializing the display but LCDriver specific plugins were a problematic.
LCDriver is a universal LCD application driver which allows various LCD's from different manufacturers to run on
different operating system platforms using custom application software. LCDriver v1.2 does not provide native support
for the NK204-V model and the closest selection that I could find available was the LK402-12 40x2 with backlight.
By selecting this option I was unable to adjust any of the contrast or backlighting options. LCDriver v2.0 is currently under
developement and there are some fantastic features that will be included with this driver when it is finally released.
There are a few test plugin programs but installation LCDriver is not a requirement for getting NK204-V LCD working.
LCDCenter v2.0 from Borderfield which is an older and now
unsupported application has Matrix Orbital support built into the the software.

LCDCenter 2.0 allows you to build custom profile screens which display at specified timed intervals. The profile screens
provide information ranging from temperature and fan monitoring, voltage monitoring, system uptime, date & time, cpu
load, memory usage, disk space usage, network traffic monitoring and new mail notification. In order to use the options
of fan monitoring, cpu load, or voltage monitoring, the installation of Motherboard Monitor
will be required.
NOTE: If you are using Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you must install the Port95NT
driver first prior to LCDcenter 2.0 installation. Failure to do this step will yield disasterous results when attempting to use the
program.

LCDCenter 2.0 is good for custom display screens but where the application falls short is in the numerous amount of issues
and lack of advanced features. This application program doesn't exploit the GPO functionality of the NK204-V and it is
unfortunate that the author stopped developement of the program at the height of its popularity.
