The back portion of the Xoxide Acrylic Cube Computer features openings for an I/O ATX back plate and expansion slots. All expansion cards are mounted against a horizontal mount which has a series of pre-drilled holes for securing the cards in place using the included screws. By default, most Micro ATX motherboards offer at least 4 PCI slots available for use. Above the I/O ATX back plate are two additional fan mounts which allow consumers to install dual 80mm fans for exhausting hot air from the case interior.

One of the unique aspects of the Xoxide Acrylic Cube Computer is an easy to use fold out design which provides access to the case interior. The case itself consists of two individual pieces that are bondled together by a foldable acrylic hinge. In order to prevent any type of grounding issues, Xoxide has provided plastic stand-offs which screw into the location where the motherboard is to be mounted.

Installation of a complete system into the Xoxide Acrylic Cube Computer was a bit of a challenge and required a great deal of planning. For the purposes of this review, I assembled a series of spare components which include the following:
