The CoolWave StormCool III Water Cooling Kit includes a solid copper water block which is capable of being mounted on both AMD and Intel platforms. The water block has been sealed which makes it difficult to actually get an idea of the internal design. The rear portion of the water block has been machined smooth and is not as reflective as previous water blocks that I have reviewed in the past. I did notice various areas of the copper base had already started to oxidize and this is to be expected since each water block is tested prior to shipping. The surface can be easily restored by using any type of cleaning solution such as Tarn-X.

The VGA and Northbridge water blocks follow the same principal design as the CPU water block. Each block has an inlet and outlet connected to small 1/4" ID tubing. The tubing has been secured using metal clamps to prevent any leaks.

The CoolWave StormCool III Water Cooling Kit includes an immersible water pump that has been sealed in a plastic housing filled with coolant. I was unable to find any details of the GPH rating for the pump in the documentation and on the Global Chance website. The integration of the pump and reservoir is good and works well with case interiors tight on free space. One outlet is connected directly to the pump while the other is positioned just above the fill line of the reservoir. A small inverter or relay is used to allow the pump to be directly turned on when a computer system is powered. The bundled radiator looks like an HWLabs Black Ice Pro and measures approximately 150.4mm x 128.6mm x 25mm. The radiator features a four pass copper core consisting of flat tubes for maximum heat conductivity. The unit incorporates a built-in metal shroud that has been drilled with four self tapping screws enabling the installation of a 120mm cooling fan.
