Two new options that have been added to the LCDC Configuration screen is the Advanced MX Features Menu which contains 2 sub pages geared specifically towards the new MX series of LCDs. The GPO PWM/RPM control page and the Dallas One wire page contain options pertaining to setting up the Dallas DS182S20 Temperature Probes. The first step in configuring the temperature probes is to double check they are attached and select the Celsius or Fahrenheit option. The next step is to click the Scan Interface button which will poll all of the 4 temperature headers and return back results on which probes have successfully connected. Once this step has been completed users can assign names to each attached probe and then proceed to assign tasks and events based on the temperature probes in the Events Menu of LCDC.

The GPO status menu allows you to configure the start or finish state of each GPO when defined in the Screen Builder Menu. The Screen Builder Menu allows you to program and define what types of data and information are displayed on the LCD. Each screen can be enabled using the plug-in options selected earlier and 4 lines exist for each display. The duration of the display can be set to any length of time you wish. I found that depending on the type of screen being displayed that 0 to 30 seconds was fine. Once the custom screen has been created, a nice transition and scrolling effect can be applied to make each screen more interactive.

Once all the screens have been defined in the Screen Builder Menu in order to see each screen transition all that is required is to stop/start the display from the main menu. The two sample screens pictured above include information about the disk space and physical RAM usage.
