MODTHEBOX would like to thank Jeffrey from Tradex Information Technology Incorporation
for sending the Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case for review.
Introduction:
Reflecting the latest trend in case modification, manufactures have begun to produce pre-modified solutions
stretching away from the standard side panel window. In order to deliver a more personal touch, several
solutions based upon popular themes have been transformed into readily available retail cases. The clear
benefit of this approach is to provide consumers with a common theme which strikes their interest while
enjoying the perks of a pre-modified computer. In the past MTB has had the opportunity to evaluate a
variety of pre-modified budget solutions from a variety of manufactures. Today in MTB Labs, we will be
evaluating evaluating the latest budget gaming mid-tower released by Sunbeam marketed as the Samurai
Gaming Case.
Specifications:
The Samurai Gaming Case represents the latest pre modified solution being offered by Sunbeam. A total of
three color options are readily available in the form of black, silver or red. Based upon a mid-tower
construction, the Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case incorporates key features such as a stylish 3D front panel
design, illuminated Diamond Power Switch, side panel window and more. Here are some specifications from
the Tradex Information Technology and Sunbeam Technology website(s):

A small accessory package is neatly bundled with the Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case that includes rubber
feet, zip ties, mounting screws, motherboard standoffs and an instruction manual. Out of the box, my
initial impressions of the Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case were positive. The Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case is
a pre-modified mid-tower solution constructed from 0.8mm SECC Steel and measures approximately 430mm (H)
x 200mm (W) x 451mm (D). The overall design of the Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case is very bold and consists
of simplified formed plastic parts neatly arranged onto the front bezel paired with a complex side panel
window. Additional color options are available in either Black or Silver. The Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case
does not ship with a power supply and users will need to provide their own units.

The bottom and mid portions of the front bezel demonstrate the bulk of the aesthetic appeal of the Sunbeam
Samurai Gaming Case. A series of red and white formed plastic shapes have been layered to create an
interesting composition. The lower half allows for ample airflow to be exercised via an integrated vent.
In order to maintain uniformity, the Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case incorporates a door to hide away any
5.25" based device. The door itself is constructed from plastic and takes on a triangular design.
