Out of the box, the Fortron Blue Storm FSP400-60THN-R Power Supply has an aesthetically pleasing design enhanced by an exterior encased in a blue painted metal chassis. The unit measures approximately 150mm (W) x 140mm (L) x 86mm (H) and has a comparable weight which is similar to most steel based power supplies on the market. The Fortron Blue Storm FSP400-60THN-R Power Supply incorporates a few built-in features, which include Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP) and Short Current Protection (OPP). These features are designed to safe guard any components that are attached to this unit. One of the unique aspects of the Blue Storm FSP400-60THN-R is that all the Molex branded cables are professionally sleeved in matching blue mesh and heat shrink wrap. This is excellent enhancement to this product since it minimizes cable clutter and management inside a case interior.

The top portion of the Fortron Blue Storm FSP400-60THN-R Power Supply includes a blue coloured slim profile 120mm fan which assists with air circulation and cooling. The 120mm fan is manufactured by Protechnic Electric and is capable of pushing 67.06 CFM at 2100 RPM with noise level of 34 dBA. The fan itself connects directly to the PSU PCB via a 3-pin fan header and doesn't provide any switch that allows you to toggle the noise levels to make this unit practically silent in its operation.
