Introduction:
Acrylic style case enclosures have come along way since originating as DIY style projects within the case
modding community. Originally used as a means for educational purposes, the standard acrylic case has
transcended from the hands of system builders to computer enthusiasts. Most of the earlier concepts for
replicating an ATX case design were home grown but recently their have been several manufacturers marketing
new and revised computer enclosures. Logisys Computer based out Pomona, CA is a relative new player offering the
latest cutting edge products to respond the demand of the fast-changing PC market. The company has a full line of
PC gaming cases, PC modification accessories, multimedia speaker systems, and Xenix inputting devices. Today in
the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the Logisys CS888UVRD Assembled UV Red Acrylic Clear Case, a complete see
through ATX case enclosure.
Specifications:
The CS888UVRD Assembled UV Red Acrylic Clear Case is the one of many consumer based cases offered by
Logisys Computer and is available in several configurations including Clear, UV Green and UV Blue. The
CS888UVRD is first generation product and is based on a mid-tower configuration. Here are some of the

The Logisys Assembled UV Red Acrylic Clear Case was shipped in a colourful double-walled corrugated box
with the case manufacturer's logos and images printed on all sides. The packaging inside the box was
excellent using a unique solution to keep the case protected and stationary. Two large pieces of polystyrene blocks
was used to conceal the case in additional to two layers of protective bubble wrap. I was pleased to
see that additional attention was placed on protecting the case during the shipping process.

Out of the box, my first impressions of the Logisys Assembled UV Red Acrylic Clear Case were positive.
The very first noticeable aspect of the case is the bright red UV acrylic material that makes up the
composition of the case. The case measures approximately 310mm (W) x 575mm (H) x 620mm (L) and supports
all Micro and Full ATX motherboards. A series of counter sunk screws secure all the panels together
with the top portion of the case supported by four acrylic blocks and metal anchors. The front bezel is
very stylish and well laid out accommodating all the necessary features found on standard steel or
aluminum based ATX cases. The Logisys Assembled UV Red Acrylic Clear Case includes an assortment of
accessories which consist of four circular acrylic feet, metal PCI slot brackets, motherboard stand-offs,
mounting screws, and an ATX I/O panel. The case does not come equipped with a stock power supply and
consumers will be required to purchase this item separately.
