The SilverStone Temjin SST-TJ06 Case does not include a removable motherboard tray despite the fact that the chassis is based on a BTX design. As an alternative there are subtle enhancements added to the motherboard tray itself as well as the PCI/AGP slots. A large opening has been added to the motherboard tray to allow consumers to route cabling from the PSU location. Two grooves behind the motherboard tray allow you to zip tie all the cables together keeping cable management to a minimum. I thought that the addition of this feature was a nice touch but later in the review you will see that the option does not work as planned. To emphasize tool-less key entry, the PCI/AGP slots use a quick release plastic lever that keeps all peripheral cards in place. Consumers no longer have to use traditional thumbscrews in this area. All that is required is to lift the lever, install the required peripheral card and then snap the lever back into place.

As previously mentioned, the SST-TJ06 has been specifically designed to take advantage of proper thermal management. This task has been accomplished with the inclusion of what SilverStone calls a "Wind Tunnel" air guide. The purpose of the "Wind Tunnel" is to create a natural path of air circulation that effectively cools the CPU location. The "Wind Tunnel" consists of a plastic shroud which stretches the length of the case chassis and is attached to two 120mm fans. The "Wind Tunnel" has also been designed to effectively isolate CPU heat from dissipating throughout the other areas of the case.

The "Wind Tunnel" air guide can be easily removed by unclipping two plastic locks at each end. Once the air guide is removed, consumers have access to the motherboard tray as well as the bundled case fans. For the 120mm fans, SilverStone is using Everflow R121225BL which are capable of pushing 54.4CFM at 2000RPM with a noise level of 27dBA. The 80mm fan is a Everflow F128025SL and is capable of pushing 32CFM at 2050RPM with a noise level of 21dBA. All three fans have been wired with a 4-pin Molex connector for power and a 3-pin connector for RPM monitoring.
