MODTHEBOX would like to thank Jeffrey from Tradex Information Technology Incorporation
for sending the Nikao Hero Mid-Tower Gaming Case for review.
Introduction:
The case selection process can be difficult when attempting to balance full system functionality with cool aesthetics. For those individuals
who lack both skill and patience there is an alternative purchasing option thanks to a wide selection of pre-modified cases. A pre-modified
case eliminates the guess work in selecting or creating an overall theme and at the same time adds all the useful features found in
standard stock cases. Since 1998, Tradex Information Technology has been the sole distributor Nikao brand cases in North America. The
company has changed direction in the style and detailing of their case product line marketing directly to the gaming community. Today
in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the latest budget gaming mid-tower released by Nikao marketed as the Hero Mid-Tower Gaming Case.
Specifications:
The Hero Mid-Tower Gaming Case is a pre-modified mid-tower case that incorporates several modifications
and is available in three colour selections (Blue, Black and Silver). The case is priced under $80 CDN and is
an all-in-one solution for users looking for a complete package. Here are some specifications taken
directly from the Tradex Information Technology website:

The Nikao Hero Mid-Tower Gaming Case was shipped in a colourful red and white double-walled corrugated
box with the case manufacturer's logos and images printed on all sides. The packaging inside the box
was good with the case sealed in protected plastic with two pieces of polystyrene located on the left
and right hand sides.

Out of the box, my first impressions of the Nikao Hero Mid-Tower Gaming Case were positive. The entire construction
of the case consists of a 0.7MM SECC steel chassis balanced with nice blue paint job and plastic chrome highlights.
A futuristic emblem has been integrated in the middle of the bezel design which includes LED based lighting effects
when the case is powered. The Nikao Hero Mid-Tower Gaming Case measures approximately 480mm (L) x 250mm (W) x 560mm (H) and
is a tad heavy at 25 lbs. The case supports all full ATX based motherboard formats with a maximum motherboard
size of 12.50" x 10" or smaller. By default the case does not include a power supply as a stock option and consumers
will be required to supply their own. The Nikao Hero Mid-Tower Gaming Case includes a small assortment of accessories
which includes metal PCI slot brackets, motherboard stand-offs, plastic drive rails, speaker 2-pin header, zip ties,
mounting screws, case feet and an ATX I/O panel.
