Introduction:
Water Cooling components play an integral part of a complete water cooling solution. The assembly of
various parts can dictate cooling performance as well as limit cooling options depending on the type
of parts used. For those consumers who prefer to skip the DIY process; pre-fabricated water cooling
kits are available as an alternative and simplify the process of migrating from air based cooling.
While a majority of the pre-fabricated kits have been established in North America, there is a small
segment of the market coming from overseas. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the new
SET Blacklord 240 Water Cooling Kit from German based manufacturer 1A-Cooling.
Specifications:
The SET Blacklord 240 Water Cooling Kit consists of various components that can be assembled
together to form a complete water cooling system. The kit requires some mild assembly and includes all

The 1A-Cooling SET Blacklord 240 Water Cooling Kit was shipped in a standard double-walled white
corrugated box with the manufacturer's logos printed on top of the package. Packaging inside the box
was good, with each portion of the kit enclosed by protective foam and plastic. The kit itself was
sent from Germany to Canada and it was nice to see that attention was placed on packaging materials
to ensure that it arrived in perfect condition.

The 1A-Cooling SET Blacklord 240 is truly an all-inclusive kit that contains all the components required
to transition from air based cooling to water cooling. Inside the package, the kit was comprised of the
following components:
- 1 x 1A-HV3 Water Block
- 2 x Universal Mounting Clips for Socket 478/370/462
- 1 x BlackLord240 Dual 120mm Copper Radiator
- 2 x 120mm Sharkoon Power fans
- 1 x Eheim 1046 Water Pump with integrated reservoir
- 1 x Pre-charged 1A-Cooling Coolant
- 1 x Small torque wrench
- 1 x 3ft PVC tubing (11mm x 8mm)
- 8 x Quick connect fittings
- 1 x Instruction manual (2 pages)
The SET Blacklord 240 Water Cooling Kit represents the best of breed in terms of components that are
both brand name and of high quality. While the components in this package are pre-selected, consumers
also have the option of individually selecting a custom setup which best suits their own personal needs
directly from the 1A-Cooling website. The SET Blacklord 240 includes a 2-page reference manual that is
completely written in German. While this isn't a problem for more experienced users, novice users
will be at a disadvantage when attempting to translate the instructions.
