The SET Blacklord 240 Water Cooling Kit includes 3ft of 8mm x 11mm tubing and a universal clipping mechanism that will appeal to consumers with socket configurations on 370, 462 and 478 motherboards. The clipping mechanisms do not require the installation of mounting screws underneath the motherboard and instead use a mounting force that is centered over the CPU. A small torque wrench is also included in the package and allows you to apply the appropriate contact pressure during the installation phase based on your CPU configuration.

One of the key components included with this kit is the 1A-HV3 Water Block which measures approximately 58mm x 48mm x 15mm. The 1A-HV3 is one of four different water block designs offered on the 1A-Cooling website and has been designed to be cross platform compatible with two different mounting mechanisms created for the AMD and Intel platform. The highlight for this particular product is the high gloss blue painted top which features two channels that use compression nut fittings. The lower portion of the water block is quite unique and consists of brass aligned with a copper strip which runs down the middle. I did note during my inspection that the base was not as reflective as previous water blocks that MTB has reviewed in the past. Consumers concerned with the appearance can lightly wet sand the surface with a higher grit of sandpaper to make the base look new again.

The SET Blacklord 240 Water Cooling Kit includes an impressive dual 120mm black radiator that is accompanied by two 120mm Sharkoon Power fans. The dual 120mm black radiator is marketed directly for hardcore overclockers who want the maximum amount of cooling performance in their water cooling systems. The radiator measures approximately 290mm x 135mm x 80mm uses a series of interconnected copper tubes which demonstrate the water flow pattern. The outer shell of the radiator is composed of an all aluminium shroud and has four M3 threaded bores for the attachment of an external mounting stand. The 120mm Sharkoon Power fans measure 120mm x 120mm x 25mm and are capable of pushing 80.94 CFM at 2400 RPM with a noise level of 39 dBa.
