Introduction:
With the current state of both technology and the movie industry, several products have been derived
from necessity of each other. Often, a combination of both has proven to bring a fresh new concept to
the consumer market. The DVD market is one area that has recently started to gain popularity with an
increase in overall sales for top rated box office movies. Consumers now have the luxury of owning
their own copies and can enjoy watching their favourite films in the comfort of their own living room.
To supplement the increase of DVD sales, a few manufacturers have introduced new smaller and more
efficient media players designed to bring the benefits existing full size media players for the audiophile
on the go. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the new Samsung DVD-L300 Portable DVD Player,
an all-in-one portable multimedia solution.
Specifications:
The Samsung DVD-L300 Portable DVD Player is a great value for both home and portable use. It features a 10-inch
LCD screen, Stereo Speakers, Cinema Mode, Dialogue Enhancer and Chapter Preview. The unit is fully-featured for

The Samsung DVD-L300 Portable DVD Player was shipped in a standard double-walled corrugated cardboard box with the
Samsung logos printed on all sides. The packaging was very eye catching with a large view of the DVD-L300 across the
front. On the rear of the packaging was a summarized list of product specifications as well as references diagrams
on how to connect the unit. Upon opening up the packaging, the product is sealed with protective plastic and secured
by a large piece of polystyrene which had separate compartments for all the accessories.

The documentation included with Samsung DVD-L300 Portable DVD Player was very well written and extensive;
providing an abundance of useful information for both the novice and experienced user. There are a total of
60 pages which is worth reading since it covers everything from the feature list, accessories, display options,
playback settings, troubleshooting, and warranty information. Samsung provides a 90 day labour warranty and will
cover at least 1 year in parts.
