The Samsung DVD-L300 Portable DVD Player includes a integrated front panel which contains a set of
manual control options. On the left hand side of the DVD-L300 are button options for Reverse Display,
EZ View, Input Source and AIC. The Reverse Display allows you to change the angle position of the
existing picture while EZ View converts Letter Box images to full screen. The Input Source option
allows you to select signals from external sources (TV, VCR, XBOX, PS2, ect) while AIC or Adaptive Image
Control allows you to manually adjust the display modes for ordinary viewing. The AIC feature supports
three different contrast and sharpness modes which include Indoor (partial lighting), Outdoor (sunny
outdoor) or Low light (low light environments).
On the right hand side of the DVD-L300 are button options for Info, Menu, Return, Clear and Enter. The
Info button displays the current disc mode and Menu brings up the DVD's player set-up menu. The Return
button returns to the previous menu, the Clear button removes menu and status displays and finally the
Enter button confirms the entry selected and provides arrow buttons for navigation.

The Samsung DVD-L300 Portable DVD Player includes two sets of integrated speakers located on the left
and right hand sides. The speakers are powered by an internal stereo amplifier and provide a decent
level of sound which is sub-par for a portable product offering. By default the DVD L-300 includes
support for DTS and Dolby Digital but you will have to connect this unit to a external source such as
a stereo receiver or high-end speakers to take advantage of this option. The Samsung DVD-L300 Portable
DVD Player includes a remote control that offers the same level of functionality as the front panel of
the unit. The remote is silver coloured to match the DVD-L300 and fits comfortably in one hand. Power
to the remote is supplied by one Lithium battery that is included in the package. The button layout on
the remote is very simple with the top portion handling the switching of the different display modes
along with the navigational buttons. The bottom portion is dedicated to controlling basic features such
as 3D positioning, angle control, subtitles, and repeat options. Surprisingly, the remote control does
not include volume control which means that you must pause your film, manually adjust the volume level
on the unit itself or an external source and then re-start the movie.
