My first impressions of the Razotech Blizzard Mid-Tower Computer Case after removing the packaging were
positive and slightly mixed. The composition of the Blizzard consists of SECC Steel with a 0.6 mm
thickness combined with plastic complementary parts. The front bezel is made of plastic which has been
painted aluminum to colour match the rest of the case. The paint job on this case is very poorly done
with several areas such as the top portion suffering from overspray and "orange peel". The top, left
and right side panels each have a series of ventilation holes which indirectly affect the cooling
properties of this case. The Razotech Blizzard Mid-Tower Computer Case measures approximately 440mm
x 200mm x 430 mm and is suitable for all Micro and Full ATX form factors with a maximum motherboard
size of 12" x 10". One of the highlights of this particular model is that it comes assembled with a
factory installed mesh window and an L&C 400w power supply.

The front bezel of the Razotech Blizzard Mid-Tower Computer Case features 4 external 5.25" drive bay
slots which can handle any type of optical drive configuration. The two bottom drive bays are perfectly
flat while the top drive bays include a built-in stealth mode feature. The execution of this idea
is a wonderful example of what some case manufacturers should consider in their future designs. A CDROM
drive is mounted normally in the drive bay and sits directly behind the front bezel. The Blizzard drive
covers are spring mounted that when the button on the drive bay is pressed it actually presses the
eject button on the CDROM drive. The front panel is then flipped in a downward position to expose the
CDROM tray. Slot load CDROM's unfortunately will not be able to benefit from this feature. Towards the
middle section of the case is one single external 3.5" drive bay slot which is perfect for mounting
a floppy drive or a card reader.

Underneath the 3.5" external drive bay is the Power and HD LED's as well as an oversized silver power
button and a standard reset button. This area is again encased in mesh material but also has a plastic
support piece which blocks most of the front air intake. On the right side of the Blizzard is the
location for two front mounted dual USB 2.0 ports, IEEE 1394 Firewire and Audio ports. Each port is
connected using a series of extender cables that must be connected to the appropriate motherboard
headers prior to use. Consumers will be required to check their motherboard manual or the included
pin-out diagram which is supplied with this package for the proper instruction for attaching each cable.
