Introduction:
Mini-ATX based computer enclosures have gained a level of acceptance amongst computer enthusiasts for
the uniqueness and alternative chassis design available for platform computing. For the consumer looking
to minimize desktop space requirements; Mini-ATX is the perfect alternative motherboard format that also maintains
full system functionality. With the growing success of the Home Theatre PC, many new manufacturers
are capitalizing on this market trend by introducing a variety of new HTPC based chassis designs and
accessories. NMedia System Inc based out of Castro Valley, California is a new company that
was formed in 2004. The company's vision is to create future home entertainment PC systems that are
optimal for today's consumer electronic gear such as Plasma TV's, LCD's, HDTV and Home Theatre
projectors. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating NMediaPC HTPC 100B, a brand new HTPC style
enclosure developed by NMedia System Inc.
Specifications:
The NMediaPC HTPC 100B is one of two different units available on the NMedia System Inc website.
Consumers have the option of selecting from two different colour formats (black and silver) as
well as the option for an add-on home theatre PC accessories including a wireless keyboard, TV tuner
card and remote. The NMediaPC HTPC 100B comes pre-assembled and only supports the mATX motherboard

The NMediaPC HTPC 100B Case was shipped in a colourful white double-walled corrugated box with the case
manufacturer's logos and images printed on all sides. The front portion of the package included several
images of the HTPC 100B which the back portion includes product specifications. The packaging inside
the box was good with the case sealed in protected plastic with two pieces of polystyrene located on
the left and right hand sides.

The NMediaPC HTPC 100B Case was bundled with an assortment of accessories which include mounting screws,
motherboard stand-offs, zip ties, power cable and two reference manuals. The documentation included with
this package was excellent and consists of an 8-page Quick Installation Guide and an 8-page user's manual
for the bundled Enermax PSU. The Quick Installation guide is accompanied by a set of black and white reference
photos and covers the installation, connectors and LCD module configuration. The 8-page Enermax PSU manual
has been translated into 7 languages (English, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese)
and covers product specifications, protection features, troubleshooting and safety issues.
