MODTHEBOX would like to thank Valentin from Alphacool
for sending the Xtreme Pro Set 240 12 Volt Kit for review.
Introduction:
The process for increasing the performance in a standard computer system can be achieved in a variety
of ways. One option is to take the expensive route and purchase all top of the line high-end hardware.
Another alternative is to tweak a computer performance using specialized application software. If
neither option fits into your game plan, the most logical route to increase system performance is by
using a high-end cooling solution. Water cooling has long been regarded as excellent alternative for
overclocking system components beyond the manufacturer’s specification. While a majority of overclockers
water cool for increased performance, there is a side benefit of effectively reducing fan related noise
for the perfect silent PC. Today in the MTB Labs we will be evaluating the Alphacool Xtreme Pro Set 240
12 Volt Kit, a German based product which provides all the necessary components for adding water
cooling to a standard PC.
Specifications:
The Xtreme Pro Set 240 12 Volt Kit consists of various components that can be assembled together to
form a complete water cooling system. The kit requires some mild assembly and includes all the necessary
components for installation. Here are some of the specifications taken directly from the Alphacool
website:

The Alphacool Xtreme Pro Set 240 12 Volt Kit was shipped in a colourful standard double-walled
corrugated box with the manufacturer's logos printed on top of the package. Packaging inside the box
was good, with each portion of the kit enclosed by protective foam and plastic. The kit itself was sent
from Germany to Canada and it was nice to see that attention was placed on packaging materials to
ensure that it arrived in perfect condition.
