The Alphacool Xtreme Pro Set 240 12 Volt Kit is packaged with an assortment of additional items which include mounting screws, reservoir clamps, Velcro pump strip, Silmore Thermal Compound, Allen Key, 4 meters of PUR 10/8 mm transparent tubing, ATX bridging plug and two 12V/7V fan adapter cables. The quality of the tubing was decent but not as good as competitive brands such as Tygon or Clearflex.

The Alphacool Xtreme Pro Set 240 12 Volt Kit includes two high performance Papst 4412 F2/GL fans. The fans measure approximately 120mm x 120mm x 25mm and are capable of pushing 55.3 CFM at 1600RPM with a noise level of 26 dBA. The kit also includes a 500ml bottle of Tec-Protect-Clear additive. Tec-Protect-Clear is a protection and heat carrier additive that protects a water cooling system reliably against corrosion. Alphacool recommends combining this product with distilled water for any system that uses different metals in a cooling system.

One of the key components included with this kit is the Alphacool NexXxoS XP Water Block which measures approximately 2"x 2" x 0.75". The NexXxoS XP has been designed to be a universal water block with different clipping mechanisms that are cross platform compatible supporting both the AMD and Intel platform. This particular kit included a mount for the Intel socket 478 but optional support mounts can be purchased for Socket 754/939/940 (Xeon) and Socket A. The highlight for NexXxoS XP is the polished chrome top and thin flat and finished Copper base. There are a series of pre-drilled holes that penetrate both surfaces and are specifically used for mounting this water block on top of any Ziff socket. Four hex screws are used to keep both pieces together and can be easily removed using the bundled Allen Key for easy maintenance. Two G1/4 inch threaded fitting with plug-in quick connectors exist on the top portion of the water block and have been secured to the housing. Both quick connectors have been clearly labeled with both inlet and outlet markings in order to avoid confusion during installation. The overall surface of the Copper base is highly reflective and polished smooth. I did notice a few areas with slight oxidation but this can be easily fixed using a tarnish cleaning agent such as Tarn-X.
