Out of the box, the DGL-4300 Wireless 108G Gaming Router is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The unit consists of a plastic two piece housing with complimentary black padded rubber on the top and bottom. The unit itself measures approximately 190.5mm (L) x 116.84mm (W) x 35mm (H) and weighs a mere 3 pounds. The size of the DGL-4300 works perfectly for the consumer who is limited on desk space. On the base of the unit are several slots for ventilation and mounting plastic rubber feet for additional support. As an alternative, consumers have the option of mounting this unit directly on the wall or vertically using the bundled two piece stand.

On the front of the DGL-4300 Wireless 108G Gaming Router are several status indicator LEDs which provide a visual view of an active Internet connection. From left to right are indicators for Power, WAN, WLAN and four ports for the local network. One complaint most consumers will have about this unit is that fact that the LEDs don't provide a indication or duplex or connection speed. You will need to check the properties of your existing network connection to gather this information. On the back of the unit is a 1 - 5dBi detachable antenna for use with 802.11b and 802.11g class wireless networks.

One of the benefits of the DGL-4300 is that it supports Gigabit and incorporates a built-in 4 port 10/100/1000 BaseT HUB which is auto sensing. Connections are established by using standard CAT5 Ethernet cables which plug directly into any workstation with the other end inserted into one of the designated ports on the back of the DGL-4300. The unit does provide options for expandability and allows you to add on an additional HUB if the 4 ports provided are not enough. All that is required is to use a standard cable to the uplink port on your HUB. A single WAN or Wide Area Network port is provided for the active Cable, DSL or Satellite connection. Next to the WAN port is a mini Reset switch that will restore the DGL-4300 back to its default factory configuration. Consumers should exercise caution when using this option as any configuration stored on the unit will be erased. The DGL-4300 Wireless 108G Gaming Router is powered by a DC 5V, 2.5A external power supply that simply plugs into a free socket on your wall.
