MODTHEBOX would like to thank SilverStone Technology
for sending the SilverStone Temjin SST-TJ05S-W Case for review.
Introduction:
SilverStone Technology has developed a strong reputation for providing a wide array of products designed
for the computer enthusiast market. The company gained popularity as a manufacturer of heatsinks, CPU
coolers, DC Fans, power supplies and thermal based products. In the past year, Silverstone has shifted
its focus by developing new products designed specifically for enhancing the appearance of a
standard case by using a successful formula for chassis design. To break into the crowded case
manufacturing market, the company developed its own flagship product line dubbed "Temjin" which covers
mid-tower cases designed for workstation or server applications. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be
evaluating SilverStone's latest release and revision in the Temjin series, the SST-TJ05S-W.
Specifications:
The SilverStone Temjin SST-TJ05S-W Case is an all-inclusive pre-modified tower case which includes an
abundance of features equipped with an integrated thermal controller. Consumers have the option of
selecting from two different colour formats which include Silver and Black. Here are some of the
specifications taken directly from the SilverStone website:

The SilverStone Temjin SST-TJ05S-W Case arrived in good condition and was shipped in cardboard packaging
via UPS Ground. The package was slightly heavy weighting in at 13.45 kg and had several distinct
manufacturer makings including the case model number and a list of features. Upon opening up the
packaging, the case is sealed with protective plastic and secured by two pieces of polystyrene on the
left and right hand sides.

Out of the box, my first impressions of the SilverStone Temjin SST-TJ05S-W Case after removing the
packaging was very extremely positive. The design of the Temjin SST-TJ05S-W is aesthetically pleasing
and accented with brushed aluminum highlights. SilverStone has done a good job with the Temjin
SST-TJ05S-W by unifying the look of the case by combining aluminum with steel. The Temjin SST-TJ05S-W measures approximately 213mm (W) x 504mm (H) x 617mm (D) and supports all
Micro ATX, Full ATX and Extended ATX motherboards. The entire exterior is silver coloured with the
main focus on the wavy aluminum front bezel. Consumers have the option of ordering this case in
standard form or with a pre-modified window in place on the side panel. The case does not ship with a
PSU but can be purchased as a seperate add-on. Also included in the package is an assortment
of accessories which includes drive rails, mounting screws, motherboard stand-offs, 3-pin to 4-pin
adapters, security keys and a fold-out user’s manual. The user's manual includes some useful
information on the SST-TJ05S-W's mechanical operation, integrated Thermal Controller function and
motherboard installation.
